If you would inform any person, that he should bring the borrowed things back to you, click on <People> under the list of categories in the main window. Now you can see the list of borrowed things from that person. Select one entry and click on <Send email> in the details section.

This will be generate an e-mail with the current selected item. If the option "Add comment to e-mail" is set, the text form the comment field are added to the e-mail notification.

If you would send an notification e-mail with all borrowed items of a person, change to the "People" sektion.

Select a person from the list, any item of this person and click on "Send e-mail".

You can also send a notification via the sharing services of macOS. Click on the sharing icon.
